At The Gate

Mark 7:11-16

A gate stands as an entrance or access to a city, a compound, a palace, or a street. Many things happen at the gate. In the spiritual realm, life of a person has a gate. Psalm 127:3-5, the last verse says” Happy is the man that has his quiver full of them, they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate”. That is the reason why David said boldly in Psalm 24:7” Lift up your head o ye gates and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in”.

According to verse 16 of the scripture for today which says ‘’And there came a great fear on all, and they glorified God, saying, that a great prophet is risen up among us; and, that God has visited His people.

I pray that God will visit you and if you allow Him He will dwell with you in Jesus name.

According to the story for today’s devotional, Jesus visited a city called Nain, at the gate of this city, there was a case of a sick man who eventually died (the only child of a widow). It was a tragedy and a very hopeless case, Jesus had compassion on this widow and turned her hopeless situation around. He raised the dead man. Are you going through any challenges in your life that you think it is hopeless? Are you sick in your body and the doctors has given up on you? Jesus is the only one that can give you solution, He is the ever- present help in the days of trouble. I pray that the Lord will arise for your help.

Jesus has no limit, no boundary in His operational scope or restriction. He can move in your life without limitation. If you believe and do not doubt even as you are meditating on this devotional, the Lord will touch your situation and give you hope. The only thing that can limit the power of God to move in your life is your unbelted or doubt. Matthew 17:20 “ So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you”.

To be continued.

Prayer point for the week: According to your word in the book of Revelation 3:20, I welcome you Lord into my life, reign in me Lord and turn every hopeless situation around for your own glory.
